The airplane’s tail becomes the inspiring shape for the redesign of the eagle, with a blue wing and a red one, and a silver beak. The previous mark is completely reinvented: the eagle is not in a hunt position, it’s flying forward, a more positive meaning. On the tail of the plane, red and blue velocity stripes give the impression that the plane is flying fast even when is grounding. Stars are abandoned in order not to give the old connotation of “indipendence day”, instead the designers at Futurebrand wanted to convey the values of technology, progress, and entertainment, as they much properly describe America in the opinion of other countries’ people.
